…Well, well, well…long time, no writing….Things got a bit crazy over here but…lots of new things happened.
Almost two months ago I flew to Bahrain for a dinner with my colleagues and apart from the fact that it was a bit complicated to get the visa and all the forms to prevent the swine flu, it was nice. I could not see much as on Sunday it was sand storm but when it is about infrastructure there is a lot to see there.
Trader Vic’s (The Ritz Hotel, Bahrain)
The King’s Palace under a Sand storm.( view from my room).
I tell you what, I definetly prefer rain to sand storms….everything is blurred and dry…sand everywhere….
The National Museum in Bahrain gives some important clues in understanding the Bahraini culture and civilization from its beginnings (customs, traditions).
A very interesting place to visit is the Gold Souq . A pitoresque place where you can find jewels from the most delicate and divine ones the most complicated and completely lacked of taste. The only thing you are tempted to say is ” Hey, where’s the beauty in these?” I hope the photos speak by themselves….
All in one, that weekend was nice if I do not want to mention my flight back to Muscat. That was a nasty experience I really want to forget about.
