Recipes with few ingredients are my favorites. This garlic shrimp recipe is quite simple and easy to make. Few ingredients which complete each other in a fantastic mix of flavors. The result is fabulous.
Ingredients:
- 400g shrimps (shell on)
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 50 ml white wine
- parsley chopped
- lemon zest
Rinse the shrimps with cold water and dry with paper towels. Heat up the olive oil in a wok. I preferred the shrimps with the shells on to keep them juicy. Sauté the sliced garlic in the heated oil until aromatic and translucent. Don’t let it burn as it gets bitter. Add the shrimps and stir well. Add the lemon zest and the wine and let it evaporate.Cook until the shrimps become bight pink/orange.Add salt and pepper and the chopped parsley. Dish out and serve immediately.
Basmati rice could be a perfect match :).
