“Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper” (Adelle Davis)
In my opinion a good day should start with a healthy breakfast, a portion of energy to ensure the smooth running of the day. There are two trends among nutritionists: some of them consider that a healthy breakfast consists in cereals and fruits while others promote the benefits of protein-rich breakfasts. Wether you go for an English breakfast or a simple fruit salad, it is important not “to skip” the morning meal.
Warm summer morning become more beautiful with a colorful flavored breakfast that we cannot enjoy during winter: Greek yogurt with straberries, honey and dried fruits. The bright red of the ripe strawberries in the creamy white sea, the sweet and sour taste wrapped in the sweetness of the acacia honey , crispy dried fruits will provide that boost of energy needed to start the day in a healthy way.
It is well known that yogurt, regular or Greek, can be part of a healthy diet. Greek yogurt made its way on the shelves of the refrigerators and it is most if the times preferred to its regular brother. Tagier and less sweet as well as creamier, Greek yogurt finds a place on everyone’s tables and not only because its mediterranean origin but also because of its method of preparation. Creamier, with a dense silky texture, rich in vitamin D, the Greek yogurt contains more proteins, more calcium, less sugar and about half of the carbohydrates contained by the same amount of regular yogurt. Sweetened with honey, combined with nuts and fruit, it can become a perfect breakfast.
