I do not consider myself a big fan of chocolate, or, better, let me reformulate this … uhm…how could I say it right…I do not eat chocolate often but when I do, I kind of exaggerate :D. I mean, if I have to eat chocolate, I need first of all good quality chocolate in a certain amount :). You cannot fool around with chocolate. There are moments when you feel like eating it and that is the right time to do it right: it has to be sweet and full of flavor, with the right amount of cocoa, not too dark, but not too milky…it’s complicated…
For example, when you make a chocolate cake, in my opinion, that cake must really taste like chocolate and has to be soft and creamy – it has to make yourself dream about beautiful things, it has to cheer you up.
That is why, in one of my need of chocolate moment I prepared a chocolate mud cake, with a twist – I added some fudge candies to render it really irresistible. And as October’s Chocolate Party theme is chocolate and candy, this cake will find her way to the party. Don’t try to make it at home if on a diet
Ingredients:
- 300g dark chocolate
- 200g milk chocolate
- 300g butter
- 250g flour
- 6 eggs
- 200g brown sugar
- 100g chocolate chips
- 100g almond flour
- 1ts vanilla extract
- 10 fudge candies
Instructions:
- Heat oven to 180°C
- Whisk together the eggs and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy
- Melt 200g of butter with 300g of chocolate over bain-marie then fold almond flour, chocolate chips, flour and vanilla extract
- Add the eggs and sugar into the chocolate mixture and stir until completely incorporated.
- Pour the batter into a cake springform pan, scatter the candies over the top
- Bake at 180° for 1h
Remove from the oven and cool completely on a cake rack.
Melt together the remaining butter and chocolate over bain-marie and stir well until combined and it gets thick and shiny. Allow to cool.
Pour the chocolate over the cool mud cake.
Enjoy a slice of heaven!

Mihaela, eu am facut-o intr-o forma cu baza detasabila de 23cm
delicios de cremoasa si apetisant arata, nu cred ca as rezista mai mult de 2 sec. fara sa nu gust din asa deliciu culinar, foarte reusit

200g zahar brun, Florentina, Iti multumesc pentru atentionare. Mi-a scapat in textul retetei in limba romana. Modific imediat.
Poza facuta de mine nu e reusita, in graba si fara cadru adecvat, de-abia scoasa din cuptor.
Dar prajitura a iesit foarte buna, densa si ciocolatoasa, exact cum imi place. A fost apreciata si de cateva colege de serviciu.
